Mysterium Network is the world’s first decentralized VPN incentivised with cryptocurrency. We have been in development for the last two years, focused on building a global node network, upgrading NAT traversal mechanics within our node software, and organically growing our user bases in emerging markets.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall development life cycle
- Work closely with Head of Product in developing a strategy and road map of Mysterium Network node & client side applications
- Supporting the Head of product, taking ownership of refining and managing the product backlog
- Leading engineering team to develop the best technical design and approach for each of Mysterium Network’s products’ development
- Coaching team with knowledge about networking & p2p
- Hands on product development on creating tech design
- Install best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules
- Project management – prioritization, planning of epics and features, stakeholder management and tracking of team commitments and delivery
- As a problem solver, you eliminate conflicts, assist your team in developing appropriate solution strategies, and manage stakeholder expectations
- Oversee user testing and report results—adjust requirements as needed
- Review all work produced by the development team ensuring quality assurance
- Ensure code produced meets company standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
- Technical knowledge: p2p networking, linux, windows networking, TCP, UDP, java and Golang
- Advanced knowledge of HTTP(s) and telecommunication security protocols
- 5+ years of Software Development experience
- 3+ years of experience in building and leading engineering teams
- Hands-on technical expertise in either distributed systems, microservices, devops, networking or crypto/blockchain
- Solid software development background including design patterns, data structures, test driven development
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience managing a team of more than 5 engineers & working in highly scalable distributed environment
- Very good organizational skills
- Fluent in English
- Ability to interact comfortably with Mysterium.network community of exit node runners, third party developers & our technology users
